A literal reading of the rule would have them work together so as a level 2 druid/1 warlock you could summon a imp as a magic action with no components but by using a spell slot or wild shape, though it would only last a day.
Has there been any word on the intent. RAW sure, but have they expressed the RAI.
Why would they comment on RAI behind that? It's niche. Also yes, RAW, it seems to work as long as it is cast via the Wild Companion feature. Pact of the Chain only cares about when the spell is cast, not when it's cast via Pact of the Chain.
I can't see anything that would prevent it. Neither feature specifies it as only applying to certain castings of Find Familiar, such as "from this feature" or "as a Warlock spell".
It's not a particularly big upgrade, since Chain Pact already lets you cast Find Familiar as a Magic action. All you're saving is the rather trivial material component cost, in exchange for it costing a spell slot or Wild Shape charge and the familiar unsummoning after a Long Rest. router login
The only time I'd want to use the Druid's version (in the case where I've taken Warlock/Pact of the Chain) is if the DM has a thing for killing Familiars. That 10GP can add up, at least at lower levels, if the DM keeps targeting the Familiar. Normally though, it's worth 10GP to not have to spend a spell slot or Wild Shape every day.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

Familiars that do fly by heals get killed, as do ones that are used as passive perception scouts.
