Im new to dungeons and dragons and i was told to create a character ive been researching and i want to play the fathomless for warlock but you need to buy the copy from dnd beyond my question is if i get the dnd beyond book do i get the copy irl?
You don't get they physical copy, just the digital version. You also don't need the entire book if you just want that one subclass. You can purchase just that for a dollar or two. If you decide to get the book later, the price you payed for the subclass is deducted from the total price. Which I think is pretty cool.
Do note that buying a subclass doesn't unlock any spells associated with it -- for Fathomless that won't effect you much until you get to 4th level spells, but it's worth noting that Hex, which is a popular warlock spell, isn't free. But spells can also be purchased individually through the marketplace, in the same way as a subclass, so if you're missing out on any spells, you can ask your DM what book it's in and buy just those few spells too.
wait so bassicly if i want to play the game i have to pay money to use spells?
Yes, you have to pay to use someone's intellectual property.
If you are new to the game I would just stick with the free Fiend Patron subclass. I do not think it is a good idea to spend money on D&D until your second or third campaign, so you know for sure that D&D is a hobby that you will actually continue to pursue and enjoy.
if i want to play the fathomless do i need to get new spells
If you really want to pay for D&D, for the subclass's expanded spell list, the only thing you will need to buy on there is Summon Elemental. You technically need to buy Bigby's Hand too, but there is a free version called Arcane Hand.
For the warlock class in general, there are lots of spells scattered throughout the Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron to Everything. Again, I do not think it is a good idea to spend money on them until you are sure D&D is not just a one time thing. If you really want access to all the spells a warlock can have, then I would just buy the spell bundles in each of those three books I mentioned.

If you do not want to spend money and have lots of free time, there are also free UA subclasses and spells from Wizard's website that you can try to recreate on Beyond.

A lot of the spells are free -- anything from the Basic Rules or the Elemental Evil Players' Companion. But there are more spells in other sources that do cost money, yes.
