I am wanting to play a Tiefling Warlock. I need help making this character. All I know is my Alignment is gonna be Chaotic Nertual. Any help is appreciated!
On the page for Warlock, there is a "quick build" section that gives you good advice. I'll just post this here because it appears in the free basic rules:
QUICK BUILD
You can make a warlock quickly by following these suggestions. First, Charisma should be your highest ability score, followed by Constitution. Second, choose the charlatan background. Third, choose the eldritch blast and chill touch cantrips, along with the 1st-level spells charm person and witch bolt.
Don't worry so much about making "the best" character. Make the character you think is going to be fun. If you put your highest stat into charisma, especially as a tiefling, you'll be fine in terms of having an effective character. So focus on making a character you like playing and don't mind spending a lot of time with. Because if your character is successful, you'll be playing with them for hours and hours. So, make a concept that you enjoy playing. Everything else will work itself out.
If you are new to D&D, it is best to work with your GM so they can better guide you through the character creation process, game rules, etiquette at the table, and anything else relevant to the campaign.
Since you are new to D&D, I would just stick with the basics and go with the Fiend patron.
While there is not anything wrong with Chaotic Neutral in itself, that alignment raises red flags for GMs and players, as many unsavory people often use it as an excuse to act as a jerk and ruin the game for others. Make sure you talk with your GM and the rest of the table, so you can establish some ground rules on what is and is not acceptable behavior, so you are not annoying and pissing people off.
"All I know is my Alignment is gonna be Chaotic Neutral" - well, at lvl 1 between race, class and alignment you know quite a lot already. Pick a couple of skills from the Warlock skillset you'd like the character to be proficient with; then pick a couple of others possibly less typical for Warlocks and find a corresponding background (if you don't find a suitable one, you can probably create something with your DM - check with them). Assign your scores according to the suggestions from the quick build, with third and fourth choices based on your chosen skill proficiencies. Take a look at the available patrons and consider the kind of pact you might enjoy; choose one accordingly. Work out your character's personality a bit, think about what makes them an adventurer (the nature of the pact maybe, or a consequence of the background, or a wild streak, a chip on their shoulder, something to prove to someone, ...) - nothing big, just a little something that gives you a better idea of who your character is beyond a bunch of numbers on paper. And you're done, assuming you have a name in mind. ;-)
Bottom line, don't overthink it. Look at what's in front of you and go with your first instincts. There's really no bad calls to make if you keep it simple.
yeah, chaotic neutral is a interesting alignment, some people treat it as "im chaotic so that means i can do literally anything i want!" no... unless your playing a serial killer your not going to go around killing people, if you were they would most likely be CE (chaotic evil). its totally okay to be CN as long as your not being a jerk! typically CN tends to mean that you don't want to worry yourself with the squabble over "good" and "evil" and you think that rules are too restrictive, witch doesn't mean you break really important laws! it just means you don't like the idea of rules in general. if you already knew all this im sorry i made you seem like a idiot, i am the true idiot.
(at least its not a CN rouge...)

Want to start playing but don't have anyone to play with? You can try these options: [link].
