Hello all, I am about to play in a Christmas themed one shot, and I'm looking for a little build help. I'm normally the DM for my group so I don't have a lot of experience as a player. As such a little help would be great.
To start off there are a couple quick and key points to make
1. The game has us all playing non good guys (criminals of some sort) stuck in a saw like scenario where we are trying to survive. This means we need each other's help to win fights and the like, but we may have to sacrifice one another, or even fight.
2. I have a very specific character idea in mind which factors in both my race and subclass. Which is to say I'm playing a Kobold Ranger Drakewarden, so I can be a small dragon like race riding atop a drake.
As for the build itself we are level 12, using Tasha's floating ability score, and standard array so my base stat line after racial mods is Str: 8 Dex: 16 Con:13 Int: 12 Wis: 16 Cha:10
I figure at level 4 I'd bump dex to an 18, and at level 8 I'd take sharpshooter. This is where things change. I find ranger rather lackluster at higher levels, and I'm not a fan of drakewardens level 11 feature, so I'm considering a multiclass of probably 4 levels so i can still get another ASI.
Which multi class do I go with. I was considering druid for some more spells, or perhaps fighter to get another fighting style and action surge. Which of these 2 should I go with, or should I choose a different class? Which subclass should I go with? Or is there perhaps a compelling reason to stick with ranger all the way to 12?
Any help is appreciated
