so one of the players in my group is playing a gunslinger and got a blunderbuss, the item description doesn't say its two handed so he's using it and a hand pistol in off hand. despite the blunderbuss being 10lb and the non cr blunderbuss being 2-h he insists its a 1h gun, i tried looking online for information but can't seam to find anything.
Considering you can't use TWF to make a bonus action attack with a ranged weapon, does it really matter? The advantages of only needing one hand to use the blunderbuss are largely circumstantial unless he'd want to have a shield or a melee weapon in his off-hand, I think - mostly just being able to have a hand free for utility purposes like opening a door or holding something like a torch or a rope.

This is correct as Matt Mercer has designed the gunslinger blunderbuss. It does not have the two-handed property, just reload 1 and misfire 2
