Anyone a had or heard a story about a scenario where the monster being fought was killed in an unintended way.
I heard a wizard cast Enlarge on a ring to make it the size of a crown and put it on a Archmage's head then canceled the spell, causing the ring to crush the spellcasters skull.
Are you interested in RAW, RAI, Narrative-driven stories, or all of the above?
There are a lot of options for dramatic deaths, but most of them don't really mesh with the spirit of the rules. Or, require enough handwaving to make them impractical to replicate in a more structured game.

Any stories?
An enlarged ring wouldn't even be the size of a bracelet, much less the size of a crown, and killing an archmage with a level 2 spell? I'm all for the rule of cool, but this one is a bit much. lol

Well the Enlarge/Reduce spell increases the size of something by 1 size so a Tiny ring becomes a Small ring fit to be a crown so. But hey whatever works to gain the extra XP lol.
The text of the spell specifically says that it doubles the objects size in all dimensions, so Felgrimm is correct, regardless of the change in size category. "Tiny, Small, Medium, etc..." has more to do with occupying space than physical dimensions. However, since a 4-inch diameter loop of arbitrary metal is a pretty trivial thing to have on hand, I'm fine chalking it up to flavor.
If the DM allows Enlarge/Reduce to be weaponized this way, then the consequences are more important than the minutia.

Oh ok makes sence.
Yeah, I mean, why be cute with a ring and just go as a royalty assassin and just turn crowns into rings, helmets into miniature helmets, jewel necklaces become garrottes etc?
It's a sort fine beer and pretzels one shot ruling but in a viable game world it sets really bad precedent to weaponize utility spells like this.

Either one or both is fine.
