There are still lots of potential races, classes, subclasses, and backgrounds that have yet to be tapped. This is a thread to talk about some of those. It's here mostly because I couldn't find a thread of this type on the forums.
For example, Inquisitor could be a Background or Subclass, depending on how that's approached it could mean different things. As a subclass, it could be something for Paladins or Clerics, most likely, but as a background, it could offer up potential new information gathering abilities along with immediate access to Intimidation and maybe a few other skills.
In terms of Races, Half-Fey could be a nice addition to the mix, and maybe few new subraces for existing races would be nice to see. While it is possible to play characters like a Ninja with certain builds in some of the classes, like what is in some of the subclasses for Monk and Rogue, there are likely still some players out there that want Ninja to make a formal appearance as its own Class, with a few of its own subclasses. Of course, the same might also be true with Samurai, even though Samurai is officially a Fighter subclass and can also be emulated to some extent with the Kinsei subclass for the Monk there are probably people out there that want to see Samurai appear as its own individual class.
I just recalled an older anime called Chaika: Coffin Princess, also known as Coffin Princess: Chaika. The world of the series would probably be interesting to play around in, especially due to the rules relating to spellcasters. But other than that, the series also displays some character archetypes that sound like classes, or at least subclasses. The two most prominent sounding are Sabatouer, which sounds very much like a Rogue subclass, and Dragoon Cavelier, which sounds like it could be a Fighter subclass but due to the shown and stated restriction in the series is probably left best as its own Class.
In the series, we are told, and shown, that Dragoon Cavalier have a bond with a dragon, but the connection doesn't mean if one dies the other has to go as well. During the final arc of the series proper, one of the characters actually becomes a Dragoon Caviler, and the process isn't very flattering. Due to the nature of the class, the dragon you seek to bond with has to make a show of trying to eat you then the recipient has to consume a part of the dragon or die, those are your only options if you actually choose to go forth with trying to be a Dragoon Cavalier.
Now, I personally wouldn't know where to properly start with either the Dragoon Cavalier or Sabetouer but I'm sure some of you reading this probably would after taking a good look at the series.
