Hello I am currently playing in the waterdeep dragon heist and I wanted to ask which magic spells/wands should I buy? I have to buy something in this level because we will be fighting a big bad soon. Well we have come to a magic shop so It does have some limitation. And Dm said That I can only buy Uncommon magic itmes And That too only 2-3 because well the shop keeper decided to only give me some. My style is mostly attack and or save lives and little more defense couldn't hurt.
You'll have to provide a bit more information. What are you going into? What do you foresee as being your role in the party? What is going to be your style? And do you have to buy right now? Or can you wait a few levels?
There are generically useful items such as a bag of holding, but once know more of what you want to do in the party and when, we can help more.

Very true, at level 2 you can choose your school of magic. Magic item recommendations would be different for a bladesinger in comparison to an evocation wizard for example.
I'm not sure how many opportunities there are to buy magic items in Dragonheist, but on average D&D Adventures don't really include magic shops. So unless your DM is just letting you buy whatever you want from the list of all magic items, I'd have to know if there are any limitations or price limits.
That said, I can think of a few things that are general quite useful for a wizard.
Right off the bat, a Cloak of Protection or Ring of Protection would be quite useful... as a Wizard you don't get access to armor, so whatever boosts your defense can make a huge difference. You could get both, but that's two attunement slots spent right there. Something in the same vein is a Staff of Defense, which also boosts AC (but not saving throws), but also contains charges you can use to cast Mage Armor and Shield without dipping into your spell slots.
Another valuable item would be a Wand of the War Mage. These come in +1, +2, +3 varieties and boost your spellcasting, plus allowing you to ignore half-cover. Basically the magical equivalent of a +1 weapon... nothing too exciting, but it just makes your Wizard better at Wizarding.
Bag of Holding, as has been mentioned, is always useful. Even if your group doesn't track encumbrance there's still a lot you can do with a bag of holding. If your DM allows it, a pair of Spies' Murmurs have the potential to be incredibly helpful, as it's basically the CODEC from Metal Gear.
If you're looking for spell scrolls, at level 2 I would actually recommend prioritizing Ritual Spells. It is always worth your effort to learn every ritual spell you come across, since as a Wizard you can cast any Ritual Spell in your spellbook without needing to prepare it each day.
