I have a lot of experience playing D&D as a player and a DM.
I do not know how the mechanics of Beyond work. I have found plenty of videos and articles on how to play D&D but nothing on how it works in Beyond.
Can somebody point me to a site that explains how to play. Either a comprehensive video or a web page.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

D&D Beyond isn't a game system, it's a toolset for D&D. It features a digital compendium of all the official books, (for example, you can find the free Basic Rules here), as well as tools for character building, encounter creation, and homebrewing.
