I am DMing Lost mine of Phandelver for some friends (we are experienced players) and I volunteered to Dm. I've done it before but I was terrible. I need help.
Watch some videos, either Dungeon Dudes or DMsLair on how to prepare/how to DM.
If your friends are having fun? Nothing to worry about.
Read through the module a few times, takes notes, change what you feel, or leave it as is.
Be prepared to adapt things as well. If your players decide to go somewhere that you haven't prepped? Ask for a small break, be honest and let them know you need a bit of time to set that up.
Replace some of the NPCs with something more entertaining for you and your group. other than that, I'd have to know more specifics about what problems you had with running it to give any serious advice... there's a lot of different reasons someone might describe their own DM'ing as "Terrible"... whether it's trouble with roleplaying, trouble with combat, etc.
