Hello everyone, not sure if this has been posted anywhere . Has there been any talk of a collaboration between DnDBeyond and talespire ? For obvious selfish reasons ( I always by all the books) I think this is a good fit. Any comments would be appreciated , oh and im still looking for a group to play with on Talespire.
No, there is no official word on any sort of collaboration between DDB and any VTT producer, Talespire or otherwise.
The "official" response is usually something like "We at DDB are always looking for ways to collaborate with other companies," but the reality is, they have never done anything to accomplish this. I suspect they never will, because the twinkle in their eye right now is to forge their own VTT, which would then be a competitor with all the other ones (including Talespire). So it would not be in their interest to collaborate with a VTT producer who is going to soon become a competitor.
Several other VTTs have been out there for a long time -- Roll 20 and Foundry being the oldest, but there are also others like Foundry and Astral, in addition to Talespire. DDB has forged a collaboration with none of them. I suspect that if such a collaboration as you are hoping for (where you could buy the books once and use them in more than one place) were ever going to be in the cards, it would already have happened. That it has not, suggests it probably never will. At this point there is certainly no reason to suspect that DDB would be any MORE likely to collaborate with Talespire than with Foundry or Astral or Roll 20.

WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.
Well first thank you, I never really looked at it from that point of view. It makes absolute sense when you put it that way. In a straight forward way, I'm just a lil naïve when it comes to things. But we sure could dream right that they would do something purely for the game.
Even WOTC doesn't do things purely for the game, and Fandom (the owner of this site) doesn't even own D&D like WOTC does.
D&D is a great game and I think the individual creators of both the books and some for this website truly love it. But as an organization, WOTC only sees D&D as a cash cow and they just try to milk it for all the $$$ they can get. This is a reality, and there is no point in denying reality.

not sure if you are actively following the development of Talespire. But with the most recent update they added functionality, that almost instantly spawned an addon for both firefox, and chrome (Beyond The Spire), that already integrates dndbeyond sheets into talepsire somewhat. (if you click to roll on the sheet, it will send the dice, and the corresponding modifier to tale spire to roll). There may be no need for an official collaboration with the tools the dev's the Talespire devs are providing and the community's hardworking and passionate fanbase. I have no doubt the sheets will be more fully integrated later on as Talespire is further developed and allows more rule inputs. (Similar to the beyond20 app for roll20.)
But the OP seemed to really want to not have to buy the books more than once, and to get all the book content to be available in Talespire. That is probably never going to happen.

Thank you for mentioning Beyond The Spire, Talespire just came out so I appreciate any guidance on how to use its functions in an accessible way for my group. None of us really have fancy high-end laptops. If I alt-tab too hard my machine whirs before asking for a pint and a hug. So integration is real good. Cheers.
Personally I feel that talespire while still in development can work perfectly as the visual and audio output for anyones dnd campaign. There is a huge community already out there sharing their map designs amongst each other.
maybe just continue with Beyond for your source material and battle encounters.
I would love a one app for all our needs but unfortunately we all still need to use multiple apps to best serve each ones individual needs
Talespire is already perfectly useful in a pro DM environment, despite still being in "early access". I have been using it in that capacity for several months now, and it continues to improve at a steady pace beyond what is already a solid toolset.
Hero Forge integration is just around the corner, though they don't have an official date yet, from reading the dev blogs, my guess is currently mid to late summer.
And there is already free versions of a great number of maps for most of the standard campaigns posted up over at https://talestavern.com/.
There are already chrome extensions that have the two sites talking to each other, but they are unofficial.
I would not bet on them releasing books and content like Roll20 and FantasyGrounds, or integrating anything other than possibly character sheets on an official basis, but that is just speculation. Of course, the real question is, why that would even be necessary if you already have all of the reference library here? Just use DDB on one screen and Talespire on the other. Or switch tabs. Easy.

D&D is developing its own VTT devoid of TS, plus TS is already partnered with HEROFORGE
Ninja
Hero Forge is also working with Mirrorscape for their new AR dungeon set up. Along with Reaper, Fat Dragon and Dwarven Forge.
