hi all, an air elemental has multiattack, i can slam twice as my attack or use whirlwind instead. is this correct please. also if i get an attack of opportunity i use 1 slam attack not the multiattack or whirlwind.
just making sure i am on the right track. thank you.
Multiattack. The elemental makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: (2d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage.
All the options listed under actions are full action options. They can also take any of the standard options (attack, dodge, disengage, etc from the PHB).
All of the "attack"s in their actions are valid options for the attack action, and all "melee attack"s are valid options for opportunity attacks. "Mutliattack" and other special actions are not.
