So I saw in the character builder you can now turn on Rick & Morty content. For the life of me I couldn't find anything that it actually added so I assume this is just a future feature. Anyone have any insight on what it might add? I love Rick & Morty and I read their D&D comics not too long ago for the first time but I didn't know they were making actual content. Excited to hear what people may know or theorize! <3
Evidently the Rick and Morty module adds one item, which I guess you might not want to appear as an option for players to select. I don't entirely know why a concertina is something to be wary of but it might have other features. Not particularly driven to pay $1.99 to see what a tiny accordion can do.
I wish I had looked into the product more before Pre-Ordering it. I didn't realize it was just a 3rd Newbie Starter Product. I don't even like the show that much (don't dislike it). The sickness have NEEDING to have every product unlocked ain't cheap. But yeah, it doesn't seem to actually offer anything. Not even spells like the other joke-product, Acquisitions, which were pretty amazing.
I thought we'd be getting cool unique weapons, spells, or a class.
I was definitely expecting at least a few tongue in cheek meta joke items or spells equal to or goofier than the Acquisitions Incorporated stuff. There's not even a wieldable Plumbus!

I was also expecting some Rick and Morty style joke named items; like Mega Seeds! I figured there would be a couple of new backgrounds inspired by the show too. Like, I don't know; Drunk, Scientist, Unemployed/Deadbeat, Veterinarian, Student, Rebel, etc.
So much potential wasted. Didn't even add a sqaunch-barian subclass. Gazorpains and gromulites would've also made decent races. And of course a spell which turns you into a pickle

It will be tied to the release of the Rick & Morty boxed set coming in November. Here's a link for you!

So the book is out. I have been searching and I don't see any changes that would affect character creation. Is this just an adult language filter?
It's a category filter.
Functionally, I don't think it currently restricts anything on a character.
update: there is the magic item concertina

I agree. I was deeply disappointed by this book.
