Nope. I certainly cannot... I have over 50 characters created (and still active... but not all currently being played) on D&D Beyond. From a gnome cleric to a goliath warlock. I must say I enjoy creating characters and the history that brings them to life. In my last character that I put in a campaign, I rolled exceptionally well... and created 12 characters trying to test out what I wanted to play. Oddly enough, he ended up being a human, which is generally my least chosen race, but, that certainly did not stop me from choosing the race as the story dictated where I ended up over anything else (and maybe the across the board +1s).
Edit: Well... I guess looking back at my creations, I do notice one thing that sticks out. I apparently really like Darkvision. That is one thing that most of my characters share... and the human was an exception because he is a Warlock and can have exceptional Darkvision.
Asking this as a poll would probably be more efficient for viewing the results.
As for my favorite race... I realize that most of my characters are human, but I also remember that all of them actually had a reason to not be another race. My latest character is a kobold though. The DM said we could pick any official race, so I looked through the PC races not written in the PHB, and I liked the thought of having a cowardly and squeaky kobold in the party. I even went as far as picking the Magic Initiate feat for Cleric:Thaumaturgy just so I can triple my voice volume when I use the kobold racial "Grovel, Cower, and Beg". I hope my DM gives me a bonus to it's range for that, but that'll have to wait until we actually start our first session with these characters.
Yes, my favorite two races are the half-elf and variant human.
Both are very flexible and have little to no downside. They both allow you to have a well balanced or exceptional powerful character depending on the feat and class combos you make with the variant human (an example of this would be having fighter as your class, going with the polearm master feat as your starting feat, going down the path of a battlemaster, and then selecting sentinel as another feat at level 4).
