Brand new to using D&D Beyond, had used Paper & Pencil, roll20 or FGU up until now. Everything is going okay except we can't figure out how to add items to a portable hold or bag of holding when accounting for weight / encumbrance. I know FGU and Roll20 both have this feature so I am 100% certain I am just missing it in D&D Beyond.
On character sheet (not sure if this actually works on mobile app?) make sure that the container is equipped. Should give you another container tab in the inventory pane. Then, select the item in question, say Shield, +3. When the item you want to move is selected, the collapsible pane with the description of the item becomes available, on it, below the description of the item are the options of what you want to do with said item. (Un)Equip, Move, Delete. Move should have a dropdown menu associated with it, that will allow you to select which container you want to move it to.
