I've run into an issue after choosing the homunculus servant infusion. I'm pretty sure the proper way to handle familiars and other pet type features is to go to the extra tab on the character sheet and search up what you're looking for and add it to your sheet?
The problem is when I search for homunculus servant there is none available? The only one that is there is the homunculus which comes from a 6th level wizard spell.
Does anybody have any insight into a solution?
It would be nice to have a proper way to handle this in which it would scale with your proficiency bonus like it's supposed to
There should be a stat block that can be opened up in the inventory tab under infusions once its assigned to a proper item. Unfortunately someone seems to have taken some liberties with that stat block and changed how a Homunculus Servant can use its actions.
Incorrect: In combat, the homunculus shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take the action in its stat block or the Dash, Disengage, Help, Hide, or Search action. (???)

That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. If you are incapacitated, the homunculus can take any action of its choice, not just Dodge. (TCoE)

Thanks Carthus, this is exactly the functionality I was looking for and somehow missed it under my inventory tab. ✌️

This is incorrect. The text you have added is copy/pasted from an Artificer infusion in TCoE, but the homunculus the OP is referring to is created by a [Tooltip Not Found] from XGtE, which uses the MM statblock. However, you did answer the OP's question correctly.
