A quick post, just kinda wondering how long it will be before DNDbeyond gets maps like how Roll20 has them. Even customize maps for homebrew campaigns or import maps from other custom map making sites.
I'm not sure they will, DDB isn't a VTT. It's more for character management, with a few extras bolted on.
Will that change? I don't know. It's possible that WotC bought DDB in order to create a VTT site integrated with the character builder etc. It's also entirely possible that their plans are completely different.
So, it's not completely out of the question, but it's not something you should be betting on coming soon unless they make an announcement.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

The closest you have is the Above VTT plugin which is not as flexiable as Roll 20 but does what it does really well.
