I am taking a class and have a project that I am working on. We have to choose a subject and create a spreadsheet, so seeing as I DM every Saturday DND is my go to here. What I am asking is for people to supply me with some data here. What is your favorite Class to play (can be multiclass), how many years you have been playing, what edition did you start with, age you started, and current age (you do not have to put your age, I was just thinking that there might be some correlation with player longevity). I would like to thank anyone who responds to this, I greatly appreciate the time that you take out of your day to do this. At the end of a week I will share/post the results on this thread for everyone.
In response to a suggestion I created a Form for people to fill out instead of having to type it out which can be found here https://forms.gle/oRkqkL8FQHFjF3bu6
had not thought of that honestly. It would probably be easier to import the data that way. I will start working on that and edit my post when I get it set up.
I probably gave my genre type answer wrong. When it comes to stories where magic is relatively rare but powerful when present, how do you describe that? I’m thinking Game of Thrones (aka A Song of Ice and Fire), Lord of the Rings, and (to an extent) The Witcher novels. Witcher novels are definitely relative as there is a sorcerers school, but to the world it’s rare and just concentrated in places.
High Fantasy is applicable to them each as confirmed with all reviewers, but I feel the general state / level of magic is important.

I can say my favourite class to play is monk, and I started on 5e, but I'm not gonna say anything that could give away my age
