Hello, I'm John H., and I am researching the character tropes in Dungeons & Dragons. Are rogues generally halflings? Are Barbarians mostly Lawful Good? I invite you to join me on my quest to improve my wisdom score and further fantasy research by answering questions about your character (or characters. Feel free to take the quiz for your entire ensemble, as the more, the merrier!)
This quick multiple-choice quiz should take no more than a minute. Share the link with your friends and adventure so they can also join the fun. I'll post the results and findings at the end of three weeks. The Quiz: The Great Quiz
It randomly started working. On an unrelated note, there should really be an option for multi target damage (for spellcasters mainly), and I feel like debuff should be separated from buff in question 5.
I took it. There really should be an option for "non-binary" under "gender", as my current Hexblood is non-binary. People play Warforged and other constructs which might also not adhere to a binary gender.
The quiz seems to assume i ( and all those answering) only have one character. I have had HUNDREDs in my time playing this game, not all the same race, class, or even gender. ( Yes i was playing women characters as a man even in the 90's when that got you lots of flack.) Never stuck to a single role, single theme, single gender, single anything.
I really love to even play against trends. Playing as a half-elf? Not gonna be slender and beautiful, going to be burly, hairy, and coarse. I just happen to have pointed ears and be resitant to being charmed. Playing a Halfing? I am no Bilbo Baggins, i am going to be a cackling madman ( or woman ) who mastered the arcane because the fear a foe shows in their eyes when they learn i am not easy pickings is sweeter than any mead. ha ah ha A MWAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHa.
most people do not have A character, they have MANY MANY characters.

I figure it would screw with the statistics if I filled out the survey again, so just assume +1 to crowd control and -1 to striker, now that crowd control has been added.
Hello fellow D&D'ers, the results from the survey are overdue, and I'm sorry I don't have much to show for it. The main problems is that here simply isn't enough data to find trends. I had trouble posting the quiz on larger communities like Reddit, but I'll try again soon. In the meantime here are the results: Survey
A lot of unexpected results. I believe most can be explained by the optional nature of the survey, the low sample size, and the multitude of choices. What really shocked me is the >70% male result for the first question.

The quiz doesn't seem to work for me.
It works for me, but I can't actually answer it accurately because my main current character isn't male or female.
pronouns: he/she/they

That's strange. I wonder why.
Thanks for the comment. I added the option to the survey.
Great idea. I'll add that.

You can fill out the survey multiple times. I did three.

Exactly. Thanks for supporting the survey.
