I don't think this is an option but I might as well ask. My group has grown (which is fine, I am all for new players). But the group is adding new players before reaching out to me (as the DM) first. Right now I am at 6 and don't want to increase much further for right now. It's also possible I am looking in the wrong area, but a forum search didn't give me an official answer.
I went through my campaign options but didn't see one that will limit that only I can add new player to the campaign. Or am I missing the option somewhere? Definitely going to ask the group to stop adding new players for now in the meantime.
Is it not poor etiquette for players to bring people to a game without mentioning it first to the group. especially to the GM? Maybe say to the players no more are to be invited to the game without your prior knowledge and consent?
Just tell the others to stop. If necessary tell them if they keep doing it you’ll quit. You shouldn’t need to though if they are even halfway decent humans.

You just have to update to change the join link, and remember NOT to share the new join link with anybody.

It’s very reasonable for a DM to put a hard cap of 6 or 7. Just let everyone know.
