I was looking to buy just the tabaxi race but when I went to purchase it, it asked all those address questions, billing address questions, etc. So I was wondering if I could do it through the app so I wouldn’t have to give all that info?
If you purchase through the app, there is a chance that your purchase will take much longer to register on the site, sometimes on the order of days. If there are any issues, they have to be resolved first through the app store, then through the site. Many folks recommend against purchasing through the app store. If the app store doesn't ask you that info, it's because they already have it. Pretty much any site that you have your credit card info stored on has your billing address. Billing information is kind of needed in order to bill you.
In addition to what pocketmouse wrote, the reason DDB asks all of that info is because they don’t store your information, arguably making purchases made through the website more secure.
And to answer your question, I couldn't see an option to buy individual pieces through the app. I believe that's because the app works through the app store rather than direct to DDB, and they take a cut. Doing the individual options is less profitable. At least, that was the reason given for not getting discounts on the app, and it makes sense that going down to $2 purchases would encounter similar problems.
