Is there a way to add 1d4 of cold damage to spell attack damage for all spells? There's an item from an adventure I'd like to use, but I can't figure out how to facilitate the additional damage. I am open to using a feat if it's not possible via an item, but I'm not sure how to set it up. Thanks in advance.
Question, what specifically are you looking for from D&D Beyond?
If your DM gave your character an item that adds 1d4 Cold Damage to every Spell that has an Attack, then you would be able to use something like that. If you are a player and just want to give your character a Magic Item that adds 1d4 Cold Damage to every Spell Attack, your DM might not agree.
I will move forward with the assumption that your DM gave your Character this item...
D&D Beyond does not let Magic Items change the description of Official Published Spells, so you will not be able to have the description of the Spell change to include the 1d4 Cold Damage.
If you want a Magic Item that has a description that states the additional 1d4 Cold Damage, then you can create one (Wonderous Item, Ring, Necklace, etc.) {I did this on my current character as he was given the Living Shadow Dark Gift, and the DDB portal does not support these yet}
If you are just looking for some kind of notation on your character sheet that states this, you could create a Custom Action that will show in your list of Actions so you are always reminded on your "Actions" tab.
Let me know your thoughts and if you have any questions on this info, and I might be able to help you more :)
Cheers!
