hi, noob question here. start of my round, im holding a dagger, can I drop it on the floor (free action) draw a sword (interaction)and attack (action) also the same question with a bow? I have been allowing my players to do this as reading the players guide suggests you can, but another Dm has questioned this and made me doubt myself even though im 99.9% sure im right.
Your DM is what counts though, so yeah. But by RAW, you can do this, although your DM may point out that you are dropping a weapon, not setting it down. If the blade happened to be what fell on...it would be damaged. A bow wouldn't like it too much either. At least, if it's on a hard floor like in a dungeon. That isn't RAW either, but it'd be a natural consequence to enforce if your DM wanted to discourage it, and you need to be aware of that.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

Yes. You can't pick the knife back up, though, until your next full Action.
RAW, yes.
