As far as I know - only Half-Proficiency works when using it as a Modifier for Initiative.
Proficiency / Expertise / Half-Proficiency Round Up - all don't work for initiative. I believe this is because there is no ability in the game which does those things.
Half-Proficiency works because Jack of All Trades does it.

Fun Fact: Remarkable Athlete for Fighter's Champion archetype says "you can add half your proficiency bonus (round up) to any Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution check you make that doesn’t already use your proficiency bonus." This includes initiative. Though, in my experimentation at least, Half Proficiency Round Up still doesn't seem to work on initiative.

It does... I've never heard of this not working. In fact, I remember bard players asking why their initiative was high years ago. If it isn't working for you, you may have a bug, possibly due to a plugin.

Harengon have a racial feature that do so;
Hare-Trigger. You can add your proficiency bonus to your initiative rolls.
Hey peeps. I’m trying to make a homebrew feat that gives proficiency bonus to the initiative roll. The struggle is real. Any advice would be great!

Thank you!
Can you not modify the Alertness feat to mirror proficiency?
I tried tinkering with the feat again and I got it to work, but have no idea how I did it.😔
You could call it a dex modifier
Bonus - initiative, additional bonus - proficiency bonus should work.
Thanks!

Ummm. I did make that reply nearly 3 years ago. So yeah - I'm not surprised it's not true any more.
