Hope this is in the right place. I have received a "special" shortsword that allows me to add additional 1d6 with damage type of my choice with a successful attack. I was curious how I could add this to my character sheet. At the worst if I can just add it an a reminder that I can add it when I roll dice.
Thanks for any suggestions. Just fyi I only have a free account so not sure if that will effect adding anything.
I will do my best to outline the options you have so that you can decide what is the best option for you to choose.
Option 1 (Notes): Yes, you can add a 'Note' to your weapon to remind yourself of the additional Damage. To do this, go to your Inventory tab on your character sheet, and click on the Shortsword you were given. This will open up a Flyout on the right side with the details of the Shortsword. At the top, just below where it says 'Weapon, Common, In Equipment' is the "Customize" section, click on the arrow on the right side to expand this section. In the "Notes" section you can type "+1d6" and then when you close the Customize section you will see that extra text gets added to the notes section of your weapon.
Option 2 (Homebrew Magic Item): As the Damage from the additional 1d6 can be any type of damage, and not just straight Piercing damage, you would not be able to make a Custom Action but you could create a new Magic Item from scratch. There are many Forum posts about how to create them, but for a simple weapon like this it might be easier to just use the notes option above.
Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I just added a note which seems easiest.
