Is their a way to copy a character into a new character and change it's name? Basically run the same character in two games and track separately within DND Beyond or do you need to just redo everything?
There is indeed a copy option, which you can find by going to My Characters and clicking 'Copy' at the bottom of your chosen character. This option is only available if you have available character slots
In that app go to your select your character and press edit, then go to the menu in the top right, go to my collections, my characters and THAT character list will have the copy option. The first one in app does not.

Thank you! I am not sure how I missed that. LOL
As a DM, is there a way to copy one of my player's characters?
Unfortunately, no. You need to ask your player to make a copy and then unassign the copy for another person to claim it.
