Hi! I'm wondering if we will have updated monsters accessible as we play through older adventures, assuming the monster has been updated and we. Have purchased the new monster manual. Thanks!
I've asked basically the same question in the MM thread. We'll see if they get back to us. So far as I'm aware, it's unknown.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
I have no inside info, but I really doubt it. Given the yelling that happened when they said they'd be updating stuff to point at the new spells for the PHB release, it's a safe bet that they're just going to leave pre-24 stuff pointing to the pre-24 material. DDB isn't designed in such a way that would easily make it toggleable.
Thanks. I'm really hoping it pulls up both options like it does for spells, but I know that would be a lot of extra work. An̈d some monsters ir npcs were renamed, maybe for this reason

You are referring to the online books? Probably not. You would just have to use the new stat blocks.
It seems to me that it would be a good selling point if at least the in-book monsters that have been updated gave you an option to use 2024 stat blocks when you click the link in the adventure. A lot of people still buy those adventure books, especially the classics
The way they do tagging in the books appears to be the same as they do it in the forums, which means [ monster ] will point to the legacy version, and [ monsters ] will point to the new one. I don't expect them to change existing books, so they'll still have the [ monster ] tag.
