Yesterday, I saw the prompt to participate in the One D&D playtesting and was excited to try it. Today I found the news about the leaked OGL 1.1 and its troubling implications. Until the OGL situation becomes clearer, I don't feel comfortable in providing free playtest support, so I'm holding off. What are y'all's plans?
Immediately after posting the polls, I realized I should have made the first question "What were your plans before the OGL leak?" C'est la sur-vie.
The new OGL might be a game ender for me. By that I mean, no more dollars go to anything D&D related. Which will have 0 affect on my game playing as I own everything I need already, and I don't plan on going any further than 5E due to the changes.

I am not sure what my Spirit Animal is. But whatever that thing is, I am pretty sure it has rabies!
I plan on participating in the play test and doing the surveys. How the OGL situation is going is separate from the play test for me. If I don’t put in my feedback and prior to the release of the core books if the OGL gets resolved with support from creators (I’m hopeful things will change from where we are now) the game might not be what we as a community want.
I mean ive already held off renewing my master tier subscription because of OGL1.1 so I'll continue the trend of not giving financial support to hasbro until it is resolved.
why get rid of your books? the product is not the problem, the management is. Simply keep what you have and do not further reward them with money. Vote with your wallet. Getting rid of your existing books is cutting off your nose to spite your face.
You can continue to enjoy an existing product while protesting management and corporate decisions, friend.
Does anyone remember what happened when they transitioned from 3e to 4e? It wasn't pretty. Wizards lost their shirts when everyone switched to pathfinder rather than play that abom....tion they produced. I just kept on playing 3e. I have already bought all the books I am ever going to buy for this hobby, so I wasn't concerned, but the way they treated us for liking 3e better was unconscionable.
It felt like a kick in the guts to be honest. being told we were sol after supporting them for years still sticks in the craw. I'm sorry for all of you younger players who until now hadn't been subjected to this king of disrespect.
As for the poll no my plans to never touch this stuff hasn't changed, and the license debacle hasn't affected my decision about the playtest. the last one went from bad to worse and I have no illusions that these people will get their heads out of their keesters any time, ever.

I refuse to support by even encouraging my group to play , I have plenty of other systems to choose from. Players less so, but if I encourage them by playing I encourage them to continue supporting WOTC,
