WotC was supposed to put out a statement on the OGL on 1/12/2023 and they said nothing. A lot of people, myself including, believes the Execs at WotC believe this will all blow over if they wait till the next big news story. I plan on updating this post to see how long WotC takes. I'm curious how long they plan to hide. Feel free to to take the poll. I selected 15-30 days personally.
I suspect within 7 days, if anything's delayed them it's likely Paizo's announcement since it includes plans, a rebuttal to the OGL situation and an statement that they are willing to go to court over it.
Or it might also be the volume of of people cancelling subscriptions if reddit is to be believed on just how many there were (Though I wouldn't count on that).
If they're hoping this would blow over, that ship has sailed. OGL news is starting to hit the mainstream. I just read an article about it that had to start off by explaining what an rpg even was.
Mercer did like a post about it being abt the community or something and people suspect that his plot about gods being under attack is to prep for this. ie, the old gods(theirs) will die, and he'll introduce his own gods separate from theirs.
I hope that's the case anyway.
If CR sides with them, then I'm done with CR. Period.

Technically its day 8 since the polygon article. There were rumors prior to that, but that was the break of the story.
Yes, they were supposed to respond today, but they've been radio silent longer than just today.
