Can everybody - ANYBODY - please just take five damn minutes to take a deep breath before literally every single person on the entire website kneejerkingly repeats every last shred of unconfirmed rumor they see on Twitter or Youtube?
Half of all the damn threads in this entire Forum are about the same dang thing!
Hey! Mods! Could you maybe just make one Forum category for OGL discussions and put all of these conversations there, so the handful of us who still want to talk about actually playing the game can do so, without having to sift through a mountain of repeated rumors first?
This leak looks suspiciously like an earlier one that ended up being a hoax, so take that with a grain of salt. Those propounding this information said their sources say there will be an official announcement on Wednesday (1-18-2023), so it either should be confirmed or denied by then. Given there is some reason to doubt the authenticity of the pain and the short turn-around time for the purported verification date, there is really not much point in getting super upset about this for the time being. After all, we’ll know tomorrow if this is a real problem worth raising a fuss about or if it is likely just a repeat of an old hoax.
I'm not saying I disagree with you but personally I believe execs at Hasbro/WotC are glancing at these threads and unsub numbers and then adjusting their responses.

Would it help if I said, "pretty please"?
Couldn't agree more.
Related: If people who are convinced they don't care to play the game would please leave that would be lovely. Sorry they are that unhappy, but I would not go to the forums of whatever their new system of choice is to stir the pot, not sure why they can't show the same courtesy.
A subforum specifically to discuss the OGL and any corporate issues would be great.
But yet you take the time to reply to this thread. There are many other forum threads/sub forums you could "chat" in but instead you choose to reply here. If you don't like this thread scroll on by.

Why is everyone putting this in present tense. Plans CAN change.
DnD Shorts stated "I can confirm these changes are what @Wizards digital game VP Chris Cao has planned for the future of D&D The $30pm is for the highest tier, and includes monthly content drops Their dream is everyone paying $30pm to play Hos is correct on everything, confirmed by WotC sources".
It's proactive vs reactive, and being proactive is largely more conducive to success than reactivity. Letting them know that if that's the intended goal, people are already pissed about it is great. It might never see the light of day, but if no one was being proactive about their distaste for it then it may see the light of day and that's worse.

If this is true $30 a month is ridiculous.

And then take another 5 to see that someone else already started a thread about the same topic.

I would like to think that the more negative feedback they get the less they are inclined to do it. Thanks for bumping the thread though.

Absolutely, but this issue has only been raised for a second time. Please all, don't blow up and get things out of proportion. Thank-you.

If they rise the price, we are all gone.
This is definately not worth $30 a month.
