A search shows that Amazon is selling it but I couldn't see anyone else doing so and most pages just reference Amazon, so it could just be Amazon offering it far too early. The cover art isn't even right on their book.
I just Googled it. A new book (!), sorta like Candlekeep Mysteries. Chris Perkins is a lead on it, and it's "Ocean's 11" sort of heist adventures, as an anthology.
And yea, I will buy that right now! TAKE MY MONEY!!!
They announced it back with the other 2023 releases (something with giants, something with the deck of many things, and planescape). Probably no coincidence the book about heists is happening about the same time as a D&D movie about a heist.
Agreed it is odd they haven't opened pre-orders yet.
Maybe they want to wait a bit for the ogl flap to die down so the new book isn't tainted? Too late for many, I know, but lots of people have short memories.
Yeah - we've seen surprisingly little on this one. No cover or art, as far as I can tell. I am very interested, as I've really liked and used the adventure anthology books.
One of my LGS just sent it a Facebook post saying they are accepting preorders in the alternate cover. Went to another one and they were able to take my preorder as well. I went for it since I'm about to run Dragon Heist so why not.
I'm guessing because they announced it / are trying to hype it much earlier than they otherwise would have, in order to try and distract from their OGL fiasco. They're hoping to dangle some new content in front of the community and get them to stop caring about it.

Especially what with many of the criticisms I've seen levied against WotC is if they wanted more money from D&D, they should have been putting out more content [and content of quality for that matter]. I bet they're trying to show that they do in fact make new content without just putting out a press release saying 'look we make content!' since at this point no one is going to believe anything that they just say. The proof will have to be in the pudding for WotC for quite a while now.
I know that it takes agreements and distribution numbers for them to actually put things up for sale; if this is an announcement happening outside of a usual announcement window [aka, if right now isn't the standard 'they always say something about an upcoming adventure on this day!' kind of time] and if it isn't available for sale anywhere, then I'm not sure why they'd be announcing the book right now. Even if it was a scheduled announcement, I'd push it back / hold off until this OGL rage is slightly mitigated so that it doesn't blow over onto my new content.
Frankly the only thing that makes sense to me is using it as a distraction.

It’s supposed to be out in like six weeks.
I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

I am at Target shopping with my wife… well she is shopping and I was checking the Target app and found this… I have never even heard of it.

It was announced on the livestream back in August. That’s how I knew about it.

Thank you guys.

Is this available yet?
I don’t think so. Not on DDB. It is for preorder from Target and Amazon. But I wanted a digital copy.

Ah ok thanks, I was also curious about a digital copy.

Yeah I can see that situation/ though process.
