I was wondering. are there any rules that would allow you to gain some sort of proficiency or skill once you've passed their basic training? in this instance my syndicate is secret and part of the training is mind strengthening so that if you get caught on a mission they have a harder time torturing you for information or using truth spells or something along that line. i was thinking like a +5 to saving throws vs mind probe or something like that... what do you think? Sorry if this has already been answered.
There's really nothing specifically in RAW to cover something like, it'd be up to DM fiat, but +5 is a massive bonus by 5e standards. Advantage/disadvantage is the typical situational modifier of 5e for skill check or saves.

Personally, I'd go with adding your proficiency bonus.
The problem with flat bonuses is that they tend to be overpowered at the beginning when your standard bonuses you add to the d20 are around 2 or 3, but then become insignificant when you get higher level and you're routinely adding like double digit figures. Doing it by PB helps scale so it's always a nice boost but never too powerful.
You can go for 1/2PB or Expertise, depending on the other circumstances.
If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

I think what you would want to do is upon completing their training they would have gained the resilient feat in wisdom or intelligence saving throws
This is a great suggestion for the idea imo
