Hi everyone, I've tried looking for an answer to this elsewhere but can't seem to find the answer.
Does the dueling fighting style apply to the bonus attack of the polearm master feat? The paladin I'm playing has this feat and in the character sheet on d&d beyond it has the second attack as a d4+4 whereas the spear I'm using is a d6+6. I don't know if this is something that has been missed in coding the site, or if it simply doesn't apply to the bonus attack?
As long as you're attacking with a spear or quarterstaff wielded one-handed, the dueling fighting style bonus applies.
My guess is that they didn't implement the differentiation since it only applies to a pretty specific case (since most players want to use the reach of halberds etc.).

Polearms are not one handed.
Spears can be.
In that case, it must be a bug.
It a bug if you're welding a quarterstaff or a spear the damage bonus from Dueling Fighting Style should apply even with a shield equipped.

Jeremy crawford confirmed that it is not required to use the weapon 2 handed to get the bonus from polearm maste (https://twitter.com/JeremyECrawford/status/530377218493386753)
So they shhould be combining
