I am nearing the completion of an essay/academic article about DnD and theatre that I am writing for my university. However, I want to let it go somewhere and give others the chance to read it, too if they're interested.
With that said, I'm a bit lost on where to publish it and how to go about submitting it, so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or experience they could lend?
I did think about Dragon magazine, but as far as I know, they don't really publish academic articles as much as game content and more general writing. (though if that is wrong, please correct me!)
Please let me know what you all think! I really appreciate the help!
Ask your instructor for suggestions. Also, usually for an academic paper, you'd be citing academic sources. Are any of them journals? Also ask your university library or writing center. Most academic journals want articles from people who have or are working on their PhD, though, so getting suggestions from academics is best. You can also post it Open Access if your university has a digital repository or just on your own with an academia.edu account, if you just want folks to be able to read it.
