I was just pondering an artificer build and I had the sudden realisation that, as arrows are tiny nonmagical objects, you could use magical tinkering to imbue an arrow with a message, then shoot it at a target, and if the DM agrees that being hit by an object is the same as tapping it, you could shoot insulting arrows at people!
This has led me to wondering what other unusual uses of abilities people have encountered or tried! Not talking about stacking damages or anything, but weird combos used for odd purposes!

Because my copper dragonborn character doesn't have a great CON, the DC on his breath weapon is kind of bad, so I've been looking for non-combat uses for a stream of acid -- like burning through a rope, or spitting on the ground and making the grass sizzle to try and boost an Intimidation check, that sort of thing

Make your Artificer work with any other class with 174 Multiclassing Feats for your Artificer Multiclass Character!
