I’ve worked with a player before on a “Jedi” build. We went with Bladesinger Wizard/Psi Warrior Fighter, as the player wanted the more “Guardian Jedi” build, which is more combat-focused.
Character overall looks good, I can’t see mistakes but I’m also not 100% on your direction due to not being able to see background info.
Interesting premise for sure. I have thought in the past about going with an "in the beginning" Spelljammer campaign thousands of years prior to the movies that fully embraces the ideas of Jedi and Sith before high technology came along. I like the Bladesinger/Psi Warrior combination for a Guardian quite a bit.

Prologen The Holocron
On the Core Planets of the Republic, an interesting development is currently taking place on the planet Korintion that could have significant consequences. As the Dark and Light sides can fluctuate so violently, even an insignificant moment can set that imbalance in motion.
The 4 Thieflings who were currently in possession of a stolen item didn't know exactly what it was yet, or at least not all of them did. They didn't know that the object would take one of them on an adventure. You see, this box contained a Holocron of the Dark and Light sides, possibly the most unique and powerful object in the universe. It was still from the old republic times of Darth Raven and Darth Mallus, where Darth Raven had to make a choice between the legendary ship or factory - some legends say it was a planet-sized ship that brought chaos to the universe - and the Dark side, and Raven blew it up with the intention of restoring order to the Light side. This created the Holocron, containing both good and evil in one object. You can understand how important this object is.
The Sisters in possession of the Holocron were a group of Night Sisters who lived on Dathomir, trained as shinobis with magical powers, which were of the Dark side or chaotic. Their mission was to carry out espionage and sabotage-like tasks, ordered by the Night Mother, the matriarch of the Night Sisters and Brothers, who operated as an information maker in many systems. These 4 Night Sisters were sent to secure the Holocron, but they were told it was very important not to open it because it would be dangerous.
There they stood in the room with the box in their hands. "We have to go, and quickly," said K'or-tan-na. She was the oldest and wisest of the group, dressed in black with a mask that only left her eyes visible, and she wore a set of jewelry, each piece more beautiful than the other. She radiated authority, a natural leader. She pointed to T'o-manu and Hi't'ari, a twin pair who were a little smaller but wider than K'or-tan-na. They, too, wore black and light-colored clothing, with double handy vibroswords and a shield belt that they had copied from the Mandalorians. They were always a little quiet and seldom spoke, only looking at K'or-tan-na and nodding. The fourth of the group was the youngest, the one who held the box. T'al-Azir, 16 years old, 1.70 meters tall, and 65 kilograms, although she often blamed her tail for being a little "heavier." She was also dressed in black, and she carried two smaller vibro swords.
The quartet had infiltrated a Jedi temple on the planet and had successfully infiltrated it, unaware that a Jedi Master was also present in the temple, something they didn't know when they started the mission. They walked down the hall and turned left, on their way to the turbo lift to quickly descend to the basement of the building, sneak past the laundry room, and disappear into the street among the people, then head to the gate for their starship. "To the left," whispered T'al Azir to T'omanu. They were creeping through the alleyway, trying to avoid being seen. Yet they had been followed. T'omanu looked left and saw a dark figure in a hooded cloak. The figure was too far away to make out any details, but T'omanu had a bad feeling about it.
Suddenly, the figure turned towards them. "Stop right there!" he bellowed, throwing back his hood. It was a tall man with dark skin and a bald head. He drew a lightsaber from beneath his cloak, but this one was purple in color.
K'or Tan-na paled and hissed at the others. "Run as fast as you can and escape this planet. Bring the chest back to mother. I'll try to give you as much time as possible."
The twins dashed away, with T'al Azir right behind them. Just before they turned the corner, T'omanu looked back at K'or Tan-na. He narrowly dodged a force push and blocked an overhead strike with his vibrostaff. But as T'omanu watched in horror, the Jedi turned to face her. She felt a piercing gaze, an overwhelming aura of power emanating from him.
And then they were running again, down a shopping street and through various turns. They changed their appearance each time they turned a corner. After a good half-hour, they stopped to catch their breath. They had made their way to another gate, hoping to steal a starship and escape the planet.
"That was Master Windu," T'omanu said to T'al Azir. "Our intelligence didn't mention anything about a Jedi Master. This complicates things. And we can assume that K'or Tan-na has been captured or... " It was quiet for a moment, then Hi'tari spoke up. "There's no time to stand around. He could still be on our heels. We must not underestimate a Master."
And so they dashed towards the gate, searching for a ship.
Chapter 1: The intervention
Yoda and Windu were in the Jedi Temple's Council Chamber, engaged in a heated discussion. The discovery of the holocron had been made, and it needed to be secured as soon as possible. The consequences of it falling into the wrong hands could be catastrophic.
Suddenly, a disturbance in the Force caught their attention. They both sensed a great disturbance in the Force, and they knew it was connected to the holocron. Yoda turned to Windu and said, "The future is clouded, dangerous, and uncertain. Patience, we must have."
Windu, however, felt that they could not wait any longer. He decided to head to the hangar to investigate the source of the disturbance. When he arrived, an officer informed him that an alarm had been triggered at the Jedi Temple on Korintion.
Windu immediately connected the dots and sensed through the Force that the alarm was connected to the holocron. He knew he had to act fast to retrieve it before it fell into the wrong hands.
However, Yoda cautioned Windu not to be rash and reminded him that it was best to let the Force guide them. "Control your impulses, Mace. Only then can you prevail," he said.
Windu nodded, knowing that Yoda was right, but he couldn't ignore the urgency of the situation. He quickly gathered a team of Jedi Knights and headed to Korintion to retrieve the holocron before it was too late.
Chapter 2: The Alpha
T'al Azir entered the mother's chamber. Three others stood beside her, one of whom she knew - K'or Tan-na. K'or was known to everyone on Dathomir, as she was the right hand of the mother and possibly her successor, although that was decades or centuries away.
"Child, it's good to see you," said the mother in a deep, resonating voice. "And not to soon. We have finally found what we need. There is too much imbalance in the Force, caused by the arrogant and short-sighted Jedi Order. Yoda is senile, and everyone with power is afraid to lose it."
"On Korintion, in the Jedi Temple, there is something I want, something we need. This object, in the hands of the Jedi, is life-threatening. When it is in our hands, there can finally be balance, or at least we don't have to bow down to those fanatics who call themselves bearers of the light. But even light can cast long shadows."
"In the temple, you will search for a chest with this seal." She handed T'al Azir a holopad. T'al Azir looked at the hologram - it was a wooden chest. Wood was hardly ever used as a material, especially because it was organic, but here she saw a wooden chest. The dimensions were listed as 30 x 30 x 20 cm, with a beautiful engraving of a woman holding the dark and light sides of the Force. The lid was covered in beskar, except for a circle with an unknown symbol in the middle.
"What is the symbol on the chest?" T'al Azir asked.
"It's unknown," said the mother after a long pause. "We know it's old, possibly even 10,000 years old, which shouldn't be possible since we see the wood. But the wood comes from a tree that hasn't existed for over 8000 years. The beskar is also from before the Mandalorian War. But the chest contains something very important - that is a fact. You must secure it at all costs."
K'or Tan-na stepped forward. "It's time, sisters. We leave in 10 minutes. I expect you to prepare for an infiltration of a Jedi temple. As far as we know, the security is tight, but nothing we can't handle. There may be some Jedi there, but no knights or masters have been found. The temple is used as a regional headquarters, but the Jedi are often on the move. And with Coruscant so close, the masters are all on Coruscant. So the danger is minimal."
"The target arrived there yesterday. We received the first reports of the chest's discovery last week. It was found by Master Atonidus, whom Mother has good contact with. So the information is very reliable. Quickly, sisters, and see you in 10 minutes."
The 10 minutes passed quickly, and T'al Azir barely had time to pack her belongings. She transformed quickly into the shinobi style and grabbed her bag with some simple materials - a rope, some rations for emergencies, and some small equipment for maintenance and the like. She arrived on time in the hangar, where K'or Tan-na was waiting with the two others she had seen earlier. She had not yet been able to introduce herself, but the twins didn't seem like talkative types anyway. They quickly boarded the ship, and T'al Azir introduced herself. The twins simply nodded and said their names.
The ship lifted off, its landing gear retracting, and pointed towards the sky. With a jolt, it shot into hypers
Chapter 3: The Omega
The plan is clear, the trio has just arrived at another gate and is urgently looking for an easily obtainable ship. Their eyes fall on an old transport, a large space vessel with twin turbo lasers on either side. It's a modified ship, and it's clear that the hyperdrive has been adapted and the ship has 2 engines. It looks like a smuggler's ship.
However, there are some guards, notably Senate guards. T'al azir says, "What are they doing here? They're only found on Coruscant." The twins say at the same time, "They're here for that box, of course."
Suddenly, the two push T'al azir aside and draw their vibro staffs. In their midst, Master Windu jumps in from above. The twins strike immediately. This reaction was not foreseen by Master Windu, who barely manages to avoid the blows. At the same time, he uses the Force to push T'al azir against the wall. The impact is severe, and the air is knocked out of her lungs. She transforms into her old form, her true form. Mace Windu, who lands on his feet against a wall, pushes off and lands several meters away.
"So," Windu says. "The Night Mother wants the Holocron that you hold so close to your chest. Do you have any idea what you're holding, child?" "Don't listen to him, and grab the ship! QUICK!" T'omanu shouts, and they attack Windu.
The fight was intense. The sisters used the darkness, and the whole street was dark. The Senate Guards saw what was happening and ran towards the darkness, calling for backup. One guard announced the location and what was happening over the radio.
T'al Azir saw her chance and ran towards one of the ships, disguised as an older woman in a robe, a local civilian running for her life. Unnoticed, she reached the ship and went inside. She entered the cockpit and saw a starting blocker. She cursed, realizing she had to disable the transistor outside first. She looked outside and saw the twins on the rooftops above the street, fighting with Windu in the darkness. She saw one of the twins lifted off the ground and shot towards Windu. The twin flew into Windu's waiting hands, and he twisted her neck, killing her instantly. He threw his lightsaber at the remaining sister, who could not dodge it, and her arm fell to the ground. She grasped her shoulder and fell to her knees. Windu retrieved his lightsaber and struck her legs, holding his weapon just above her. She lay on the ground with her legs and arm cut off. Windu spoke to her, then decapitated her with one swift motion.
At that moment, Windu looked up and saw T'al Azir. They stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity. She tried to avoid his gaze and ran out of the ship. She had to destroy the transistor as quickly as possible and get away. But there was no time. She had not even left the ship when Windu was waiting for her. "Give up, T'al Azir," Windu said. "I looked into you, and you're not a bad person. You're misled by the Nightmother, and it's important that you return the holocron to us."
T'al Azir ignored Windu's words, consumed by her own anger and the belief that the Jedi were corrupt. She blasted a crackling stream of pure energy towards Windu, who was able to withstand the attack and countered with a powerful blow that sent T'al Azir flying.
She's out of breath. But is able to cast another bolt towards Windu. Master Windu simply steps aside. "It's a pity that you're so led by the dark side," he says. However, it's T'al Azir who interupts The master and speaks; "Dark side? You have the poisonous tongue and corruption of the dark. You bring chaos to the universe, you are the wolf in sheep's clothing. You think you are a force of order and doing good. But you're so blind that it's laughable. You murderer!"
The fight commences once more. Windu is furious and hits T'al Azir. She jumps to the side, casting the darkness as to give her the upperhand, The landing hangar they were in was completely enveloped in darkness. Windu could still see her perfectly The two engaged in a fierce duel, the clashing of their weapons echoing through the darkened street. T'al Azir fought with all her might, but Windu's superior skill and experience eventually gained the upper hand. . T'al Azir does her best, but has already been hit several times, and now by a final force push, she crashes against the wall. Once more all the air forced out of the lungs by the collition. She tries to get back up, turns around with the box still in her hands. As Windu prepared to deliver the final blow, the holocron suddenly swept in front of T'al Azir, blocking the lightsaber's path.
Time seems to stand still, the environment distorts, the walls twist and ripple, the ship bends completely. The darkness is absorbed by the box, but you can see that it is drawn into the box. Colors fade, and when Windu finally plunges his lightsaber into the box, everything suddenly turns white. The next moment, Windu's lightsaber is broken. The walls are completely distorted. The ship is unrecognizably bent. The darkness is completely gone, but T'al Azir is gone too. For a moment, there was silence,. The holocron was gone, as was T'al Azir. Windu looked around, bewildered, as if searching for answers that he knew he would never find. In that instant, he understood that the battle was not just about defeating an enemy, but about the deeper mysteries of the Force that he had yet to unravel.
He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. Feel where the holocron is. Time passes, and he opens his eyes again. The guards are next to him, asking what happened. "We couldn't see because of the darkness of the Night Sisters, but where is the last one?" Windu looks at the guard and says, "Send a message to Yoda as soon as possible tell him that the holocron has disappeared."
Chapter 3:A conversation with a god
"She wakes up and looks around. She is lying in shallow water that is only 10cm deep. The entire surroundings and as far as she can see, this water stretches around her. In the distance, there is nothing, a complete emptiness. Above her, it's just white. The only orientation was the water at her feet.
She heard a voice, in her head. In a deep, raw voice, resonating and thundering, and filled with power. "Child! Do you have any idea what you have done! T'al Azir said; Who are you, where are you? She screamed. The voice said, "Turn around and behold Asmodan!" She turned around. There, hovering above the water in a red robe with gold inlaid decorations, was a reddish or pinkish face that resembled that of a goat, with dark eyes from which smoke emanated. A sulfur smell came from his feet, which were slightly on fire. He held a staff with an inlaid jewel that pulsated with dark light. Long arms and hands with long nails. "Ruler of the 9 layers of hell and guardian of the infinite, the abyss, the chaos, and evil," "you, my child, have put the order in the universe in danger." "You are connected to the holocron from your world. This object in my universe will eventually destroy this universe, and that... he strokes his chin, waits for a moment, and looks at T' al Azir." That does not fit into my plan. Chaos can only exist in balance with Order. This is necessary to maintain the multiverse. You, with this object, can undo this. You must find that object. I will destroy it and send you back to your own world." T' al Azir thought deeply for a moment. Am I hallucinating, is this reality? She also felt sick from the smell of this creature. She gathers herself a bit, looks at the creature, and says, "Ruler of the 9 layers of hell, your name is not known to me. If what you say about the holocron is true, how do I know that you will not abuse it?" Asmodeus becomes furious. "Listen, child, you are bound to me, whether you like it or not. To keep you in this world, I want souls. You will search for the holocron, and I will keep you in this universe with my power. Time is important, I cannot have this object in my universe. I know of its existence but cannot find it. It does not reveal itself to me, but it will to you." He strokes a finger over her cheek, the nail cuts a little into her cheek, and a drop of blood falls onto his finger. He brings it to his mouth and tastes it. "Delightful, you are not from here. You are not bound to this world. If you do not bring souls to me, you will cease to exist. But don't worry, child, with me as your patronage, you will find that holocron in no time. Now go to Faerun. Don't disappoint me."
T’al Azir knew she couldn't refuse and nodded to Asmodeus. "I won't murder needlessly for you, but I will avenge the wrongs when necessary." Asmodeus chuckled. "We shall see, you will realize that you don't always have a choice. I need souls to bring you here. If you don't, then you will simply cease to exist. After all, it is your fault that you are in this situation, my child."
"I have no more time for you. Either you understand the situation and what you must do, or... well, farewell T’al Azir." And then he was gone in a puff. She was still standing there in nothingness and had to shed a tear. This was too much for her to handle. Her sister's death, a failed mission, and the possibility of never seeing her mother again.
Suddenly, she fell through the water, into darkness. Walls were closing in on her, or was she falling downwards? The water was darker, filled with visions of the world she was to enter. A few visions and one of the object she had to find. The holocron, a kubbis from the 4th dimension, pulsating and fluctuating, dark and light intertwined. She saw darkness surrounding it, but glimpsed a symbol. She couldn't quite see it, but she knew if she did, she would recognize it. Suddenly, everything was bright, she saw the sun above her. She fell downwards, saw clouds, and beneath her, the world. She was falling from a height she had never experienced before.
Asmodeus' voice returned to her head. "You can use my gifts, or you can leave them, but then the ground will be your end. Laughing, the voice disappeared. She felt the wind rushing past her, incredibly fast. She shot through the clouds, and everything was white. Then, she saw the ground beneath her. She saw a village in the distance, forests, and a coastline. She was still over 4 km above the ground. Then only 3 km, then 2 km. T'al Azir remained calm, knowing what she would do.
At only 200 meters above the ground, she put her hand out and whispered. Slowly, she descended to the ground, landing among the trees on a hill. She could just see over the treetops to orient herself. And then she stood on the ground, in a strange world.
Chapter 4 A saga begins:
T'al Azir had just arrived on the mysterious planet of Faerun, her mind still reeling from the mystical means that had brought her here. She was a thiefling, born of a union between a human and a demon, and she had made a pact with Asmodeus, the Lord of the Nine Hells. In exchange for her soul, he had promised to keep her on this plane of existence.
But T'al Azir had another mission, one that was close to her heart. She was looking for the Holocron, a powerful artifact that contained immense knowledge and power. She had been searching for it for months, but it seemed that the artifact was elusive, beyond her reach.
In her quest for the Holocron, T'al Azir met many people, each with their own story and purpose. Some were kind and helpful, while others were dangerous and untrustworthy. But there was one group that caught her attention - the Order.
The Order was a group of powerful mages and warriors whose main goal was to collect magical items and keep them safe. T'al Azir had heard of them before, but she had never met anyone from the Order until now. She hoped that they could help her find the Holocron.
As T'al Azir journeyed through the land, she encountered many challenges and obstacles. She faced dangerous creatures, treacherous terrain, and powerful adversaries who sought to use her for their own purposes. But she persevered, using her skills as a thief and her knowledge of magic to survive.
Finally, after months of searching, T'al Azir arrived at the headquarters of the Order. She was greeted by a group of mages and warriors who were impressed by her bravery and determination. They listened to her story and promised to help her find the Holocron.
T'al Azir felt a glimmer of hope in her heart. She knew that the Order had the power and knowledge to help her in her quest. With their help, she would be able to find the Holocron and unlock its secrets.
And so, T'al Azir joined forces with the Order, embarking on a new adventure that would take her to the farthest reaches of the land. She was determined to find the Holocron, no matter what challenges lay ahead. For she knew that the power contained within the artifact was the key to her ultimate salvation.
APENDIX
Asmodeus
According to legend, Asmodeus attributed his wicked deeds to necessity and the mandates of law, alluding to the rules of Hell in his defense and arguing that his contracts were never broken. He made the case that the souls he harvested served the ultimately noble end of protecting the cosmos, and noted the sanctity of law as what separated him from the demons of the Abyss. Without him and his devils to defend it, he argued, the multiverse would be overrun by demonkind and ultimately destroyed, and in this, Asmodeus might technically be correct
This object would disturb too much in these layers of existence. The object should be destroyed. Those who possess it could use it. It contains so much knowledge and power that it's like a black hole in terms of magic or the force as I know it. It pulls the fabric of existence too tightly and could even tear it apart. A rift in the multilayers of existence.
This is a creative interpretation. Your DM is cool with this? They’re okay with you basically jumping realities and that your Tiefling is from a different universe all together? Because if yes, you’re looking solid as far as your build. Roleplaying will be super interesting and I would make sure the rest of your party is okay with you making references to a universe that their characters don’t even know exists.
I see where you’re going now with the build. So your Tiefling is still tied to the line of Asmodeus, but has powers linked to the Force in her home universe. The Asmodeus lineage is represented through the Fiend Warlock and I’m guessing the Blue Draconic Origin represents the Dark Side? Interesting choices and it works. Is your Tiefling technically a Devaronian in the SW universe?
My only criticism on your backstory is how incredibly violent you made Windu. I mean, I get it. Windu dances around the Dark Side a lot, especially with his combat style Vaapad. He definitely does not see the hubris of the Jedi during his time period and can be a vicious fighter, but I’m not sure he would be dismembering people like you’ve written. Just my observation as a fan, not necessarily saying that your interpretation is wrong! Just a bit different.
I think you’ve a great character concept, and I like how much thought you have put into your backstory. My only comment would be about the length of it, it is very long and contains a lot of detail that is not necessarily needed for a backstory (eg. Dialogue with Windu). If your DM is cool with it, fine, but personally I would find it unwieldy to keep referring back to. I’d encourage you to add (or get ChatGPT to create) a single paragraph TL:DR summary and stick it at the very top of your backstory. Or create a list of 5 short bullet points concerning the 5 most important facts about your character’s past.
It looks good. Your spell choices make sense. if I was working on a jedi...I would use a psionic subclass like Psychic Warrior (there is also soul knife and Psion). And maybe do a variant human to get a free feat that seems force like...such as like telekinetic, telepathic, lucky, gift of the gem dragon ... but call it gift of the jedi, fade away, etc), or just pick up an appropriate feat later.
Yes my DM was actually fine on all points, and to answer your question im actually a Dathomirian...but in retrospect your choice would have been so much better ;)

Yes my DM was actually fine on all points, and to answer your question im actually a Dathomirian...but in retrospect your choice would have been so much better ;)
thank you, unfortunatly i can only use the Phb. or i have been missing on something perhaps really great?
Not necessarily; I just thought psionics would work thematically.
