I am creating a homebrew subclass for monk and want to add spellcasting to it. I have added the Spellcasting feature to it and it works like the arcane trickster but I want it to work like how the Ranger or paladin works, so the highest level spell slot would be 5th level https://vidmate****/.
I also want to make it so that it is a unique list of spells, so when choosing spells you choose from a custom list of spells rather than inherit a list from another class, like the Wizard. Is there a way to do this?
Both things you asked about are possible...? When you have your subclass in editing mode, scroll down to the part where it lets you chose the spellcasting ability. To its right is "Can Cast Spells," then "Additional Spell List" (this is for adding a spell list from a specific class though, so don't use that!), and the one after that is what you want, "Spell Prepare Type." Click on that, and select half level. I've personally never made a half-caster before though, so you'll have to see how it goes. This will only bring you to a 4th level spell slot, probably, since it's essentially what the arcane trickster uses. It's a compromise, though. You could give the "level" option a shot instead of "half level" if you're willing.
For a unique spell list, yes! There is a way! You go to your subclass in editing mode, go to whatever class feature you are putting all your magic and jazz on, and then scroll down to "Additional spell list." This lets you create a custom spell list.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I hope my instructions made sense. :)

I'm right there with you with trying add half casting as a subclass option (like ranger/paladin), did you ever figure out how/if you could do it?
