I know we are playing in a fantasy world, so not to get to serious, what is your call on a blue dragonborn sorcerer who picks his bloodline from say a silver dragon. Is that allowed. It seems in BG3 it is.

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.~ Yoda
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” - Paul Atreides
It is absolutely allowed. The dragonborn race has been around for a long time. There's been ample opportunities for various dragon lineages to interbreed, and traits to pop up after generations have passed. Kind of like doing a 23 and Me and finding out you're 0.8 percent something that you had no idea was in your family history. At least in the FR, where BG3 is set. Some DMs may have house rules that better fit their worlds and may restrict that kind of thing.
Thanks for the reply, In a fantasy world I suppose everything and anything is possible, even chaotic Evil and Lawful Good, mating. ( And then there is the unspeakable acts that could happen) alrighty then.
Its getting close, I started playing EA the day it dropped. Im getting beyond stoked to play this story.

Me too!
I’m fully expecting to spend my first hour in the character builder deciding on a hair color. And I usually never care about that kind of thing.
I suspect ill be in there for a bit as well, I've played just about every class to Grym Forge, as well to the Gith bridge. I believe I will be playing a duergar cleric, still on the fence as too war or Tempest, I really prefer the Light domain, for the spell list . War and Tempest have everything else, so for me that's a no brainer. I know going Gold Dwarf makes more sense, but with the racial stat change, I think ill do fine. Its all RP for me. Love my dwarves. Looking forward to a few different builds as well. It wouldn't be the first time I started with one class and finished playing something else.

I still haven’t decided on my first playthrough. Part of me wants to try some of my old tabletop characters to see how they work, or just something new. I know my second play will be the Dark Urge, but I also don’t know my class/race for that one.
I’ve not been this excited for a game, I think, ever. Though Mass Effect 3 comes close.
I believe they increased the difficulty to Aunty Ethel, in a earlier patch because wow, I had a very hard time. Larian did a job on softening you up before the battle as well.
I am really wanting to play a monk as well, The dark path is pulling at me. I typically play Dwarves even if the race doesn't fit the class.
I do like playing other races as well, I RP a drow priestess in one play through
Looking forward to playing a half orc as well

That could be possible. When I tried to fight her, I had read before that you could shove her into the big hole to finish the fight quickly.
All my shove attemps failed and that with a Lvl 4 Lae'zel and Auntie Ethel right next to the hole. And then she'd teleport away and her one Thrall would just smush all my charas with her Maul.
My fav races are Elves (all of them, but I'm partial to good Drow ♥) followed by Tieflings.
The Dragonborn also look really good, so I might make one of those too one day.
Yeah, I don't really want to play a dragonborn, but they look so good, I might have to give one a spin.
I also can't decide on my party, and that will factor in. Like, I kind of want to play a cleric, but I also want Shadowheart to come along, and I'm not sure if 2 clerics will work well. And I don't really want to go rogue, but I also don't really love Astarion, so I'm considering urchin background cause someone needs to be able to pick locks and disarm traps.
Agreed on story mode. Even on the easiest level, I bounced of DoS2 after my umpteenth time getting blown up by fire barrels everywhere, so I really want to avoid that.

I have ran twice as a cleric. Once as a Drow priestess and once with a Gold dwarf, both times with Shadowheart, I thought it was fun pretty much ran the same spell configuration as well, Guiding bolt, inflict wounds' I did play with bane and blindness but really just went pure dmg, Khaza (Gold Dwarf) I would melee with him as well. 90% of all my runs has been with Lae'zel ,Gale and shadowheart. My cleric runs for the most part never had issues with the traps or locks. Which... not sure I like 5th editions 'everyone can do everything' Scroll casting and such. Now I will admit I am fairly ignorant to the 5th edition and may be wrong on this. All I know is from Bg3

The dark urge class and race still not sure on that, once im at the computer. The Dark urge will most likely be my second run

I'm a little bit torn between my male Tiefling Warlock (Fiend) and my female Tiefling Rogue (Thief), both which I played during EA.
I enjoyed Warlock more than I thought I would, though I did not get very far as I got stuck at the fight vs Auntie Ethel.
I'm def gonna put the difficulty to Story on my first playthrough. <__<
Other charas I want to play in the future:
I believe they increased the difficulty to Aunty Ethel, in a earlier patch because wow, I had a very hard time. Larian did a job on softening you up before the battle as well.
