I would like to do 16 levels of RUNE KNIGHT and throw in 4 levels of MOON DRUID, (because they rhyme :D ) just kidding. I made the character really dumb (INT6) and lousy charisma (CHA6), but very wise (WIS18). Because the Bugbear is very tall, I like the ability to change form, for those small spaces. PASS WITHOUT TRACE can also be helpful to get SURPRISE, so I can utilize the extra 2D6 attack.
I'm wondering when would be a good level to multi? I'm thinking of doing 4 levels of the FIGHTER, so I get the RUNE feature and a FEAT, then switch to 4 levels of DRUID and finishing the rest as RUNE KNIGHT. The DM is sure we will reach level 20.
Skipping out on Fighter's extra attack at level 5 is going to hurt quite a bit. But if damage isn't a huge concern, and I assume it isn't since you're multiclassing into Druid, then at least wait until level 6 or 8 to multiclass. Probably 6 so at least you won't be behind most other classes in terms of Feats.

Yeah, I think that's better.
I still smile every time I think of a small pc with rune knight to go from 2 foot to 16 foot
