Hey all. I'm working on a starter guide to my latest campaign world. I've run a homebrew called "A Light in the Darkness" for many years, but recently since Covid I've been having some fun with an idea where monsters in the D&D world can play people in our world. I'm currently working on a game mechanic whereby players can actually pretend to be D&D monsters, pretending to be humans in the "real world". Imagine sort of like "rhetoric" and "logic" instead of magic and divinity, and creatures like Karen Crawlers (get it?)
Here's a link to an example monster. Note that I'm an author, but this is NOT a solicitation to my books etc. I need help with game mechanics for a campaign like this, especially from other DMs. How would you go about doing that based on these couple of ideas?
