Hi all, just a quick question. Is there a way to summon a shadow in 5e? The good old fashioned strength draining creature. I thought there was via a conjure/summon spell but I can’t see or remember which.
Appreciated!
Maybe create undead would work?
SAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can use the spell Summon Woodland beings to summon a Detached Shadow instead, which is the same monster except that is fey rather than undead.
fyi, probably referring to Conjure Woodland Beings.
also consider Summon Shadowspawn.
No such spell currently exists, but as a CR 1/2, I'd allow the caster to substitute shadows for ghouls when casting create undead.
With the Gate spell you can summon pretty much anything that isn't a deity or planar ruler. But it won't grant the caster control over the creature.
Why do people keep necroing these threads?
