Is there any way as a D&D Beyond DM to directly give an item to a player or do I have to tell them to assign it to themselves via the inventory menu?
-Agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
If you go in the campaign page, you can view and edit their character sheets. You can then add the item as if it were your own character sheet.
