I have looked in the forum and I understand the proficiency bonus, but I have a question in regards to the character sheet. For example, I see that on the top of the sheet it mentions the proficiency bonus. I see that certain weapons when equipped have some additional points to add, does that include the proficiency bonus already? Same with the rogue expertise stat...if for example the character has expertise on perception I can see on the sheet it is marked as such. The +bonus seen there, does that include the proficiency bonus x 2 or would I have to add it on top of that?

The number would be marked with the total +modifier you would need to use, aka - it calculates/adds it for you.
