I have three campaigns, two of which I am DM and a other other one which is DMed by another campaign player. Is there a way to change the default DM for a given campaign, or does it have to be the initial DM that unlocked content?

The sharing can be unlocked by a player. Have your friend create the campaign slot, then you go in and unlock.
Currently, it is not possible to switch roles.
