I use a lot of variant rules in my games and it can be a pain to have to reference ones that don't come up often. I had them all linked on my campaign page but even that was a bit clunky. Enter, the campaign sidebar! I've switched the campaign introduction with my DM Public notes and made links to all the variant rules I use as well as some tables we need to reference often. I think it's cool.

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
Can you walk me through how you set this up exactly?
There are three editable sections on the campaign page: Description, DM Notes (private), and DM Notes (Public). The campaign sidebar of the new character sheet, clickable in the top right hand corner of the character sheet of a character in a campaign, draws from the Description field.
So you just create links and colour the text (otherwise they show up as regular black text in the sidebar).
The Beyond Help Chrome extension is incredibly helpful for this due to the fact that it adds a little hover-over element next to every anchor on a page. So to get the link to the anchor, you just hover over it, click to copy, and use that as your URL. Also, the "Toggle Fullscreen" function is a massive help when using editors.
Whoa, I definitely need to try that. Right now I have a whole history of the campaign in our public notes section, grouped into spoiler tags. I haven't put anything into Description yet, though!
Ok, I just messed around with it. I'm running a Curse of Strahd campaign, so put the party's Tarokka reading in the side bar. Now they can click on it to remember what they're supposed to be searching for.

That, sir, is an awesome idea!
Holy smokes! This is amazing! I never even thought to click it. Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention!
That is a great use of the new feature... Thanks!
