So, I'm making a tiefling, but as a wizard, he doesn't have the charisma for the natural spells, so I was hoping to use the winged tiefling, as flight is always useful, but I can't figure out how to toggle it. The section about variant tiefling doesn't have legacy next to it, so I assume that means it's still usable, but I don't know how to change to it.
You have to own the book that it comes in. In this case, that's the sword coast adventurer's guide. If you were a couple of weeks earlier, you could have bought just the variant tiefling, but wotc got greedy and now you have to own the entire book.
Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

Yeah, that was it, I'm in a campaign that has the book, but I forgot I can't access it unless I actually add the character to the campaign.
