Cause the app is pretty terrible. Crashed 7 times in a few minutes thumbing through the PHB I just bought. When I swipe back to go back to previous screen just a white screen. I can't deal with this. If I have to keep using this my phone is going to wind up embedded in a wall.

So please tell me there's a way to just download a pdf that I can just open in a pdf viewer on my phone. I won't use the app.

And just for the record on iPhone 6+ iOS 11.4 and reinstalled the app a few times already.

When you “buy a book” on DDB, you are actually buying the rights to access digital files. Like when you buy a “movie” from iTunes. Apple doesn’t mail you a DVD when you buy a movie online. And buying a movie in the store doesn’t give you access to the movie on iTunes. This is no different. You do not have a promise for anything on DDB other than the access to the digital files, even if you already own the books.

This has been discussed extensively in other posts, so I won’t rehash any of the pros, cons, or any of that.

I have an iPhone 8 and an iPad and the App is a little buggy, but I wouldn’t describe it as unusable. I use it quite often in fact. But I do find I prefer the website to the app most of the time on my phone.

The app is still technically in beta I think so there will definitely be issues. Have you reported these bugs in the proper subforum?

Additionally, I know it's not ideal if you need offline access, but maybe using the site could help bridge the gap while they sort out the bugs you're experiencing?
