So a murder happen and the DM decided to save scum it. Since they did that what's the point of consequences of our actions, if they are going to just do that? For me it takes the fun out of it and takes me out of the world and game when this happens.

Very confused. There's no "save" in D&D just continual progression kinda like an iron man save. I've done retcons before but not to the extent you describe since as you say it totally takes away the consequences to player choices. It sounds more like your DM is trying to railroad the story they want to tell through and player actions are not part of their equation. I'd reach out and bring your concerns to the DM if they don't address it or shove your concerns to the side then it may be time to find another table.
They literally made us go back 5 mins to before it happened and we had to re-do the events, so he expected us to say the same shit we did and do the same actions; that just killed the immersion for me so I decided to leave the group. Also this has been the 3rd time this has happened, I also talked to them about this
