Hey all! So if you were lucky enough to make it through to the second round of auditions for a production of Twenty Sided Tavern, with an average knowledge of DnD, what would you research for the call back? The first round contained general performance skills as well as a submitted description of what kind of character you would build based on a series of prompt images (the images being representations of uncommon species with generic equipment on, like a kenku in leathers, a firbolg in robes, a kobold with a top hat, etc). Imagine you have enough rules knowledge to get by in a session without checking the PHB for clarification (and also imagine your improv and general performance skills are not in question whatsoever), what would you research or touch up before going in? Lore? Famous characters? Famous villains or monsters? Planes of Existence? Classic PC or RP tropes?
Hjalmar Gunderson, Vuman Alchemist Plague Doctor in a HB Campaign, Post Netherese Invasion Cormyr (lvl20 retired) Godfrey, Autognome Butler in Ghosts of Saltmarsh into Spelljammer Grímr Skeggisson, Goliath Rune Knight in Rime of the Frostmaiden DM of two HB campaigns set in the same world.
