I had a thought last night after I have been playing around with character creation using the 2024 PHB material...
When I go to level up my 2014 character within DDB, how does DDB know to use the 2014 data, and not upgrade me to the 2024 version?
Has anyone tried leveling up since Tuesday when the 2024 PHB and DDB changes went live?
None of us want to update our current characters until we finish this current campaign.
Thoughts?

Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
Just as an experiment I just tried levelling up an old character of mine created with the 2014 rules and looks like no change, the options given were what I expected and even the subclasses (it's a monk) were listed as "Way of..." instead of "Warrior of..." like in the 2024 rules. At a guess I'm figuring that DDB has basically set up the 2014 and 2024 classes as if they're separate classes and if you have a 2014 class it levels up based on 2014 rules and if you have a 2024 class it levels up based on 2024 rules

2014 classes are different entries in the tool to 2024 classes. When you level up your legacy wizard or fighter or whatever, you'll only see options for that class
This is kind of what I thought, but was just a little worried, and figured I'd ask :)
Cheers!
